Sure, writing, designing and brainstorming is fun, but with my background in fabrication, I like to get in the shop and get my hands dirty too. What I like about what I do is that it's always something different. Besides, if you never stick your head out of the front office then how are you going to keep up on new materials and techniques and keep your design for fabrication abilities sharp? Reading about new materials is no substitute to knowing hands on what they can do.
